Towards the sea poem

TOWARDS THE SEA
FIRST READER

Far above
The river broad
Flies fast
Thunder Clouds
And silvery drops
Merge with
Brown waters

Strong winds
From Northern
Lands
Travel with
The darkening cloud

A crescent moon
Scarce disturbs
The deepening
Night

SECOND READER

……………………
The river broad
Churns under
Thunders deep
And leaves twirl
Within its
Brown waters

A waterfall
Casts spray
Upwards
Merges with
The darkening cloud

Round corners
Through gorges
Hurtling into
Night

THIRD READER

On one side of
The river broad
Runs the stag
Far to go
And never stop
Beside the
Brown waters

Sweat merges
With cool rain
Forwards
Running from
The darkening cloud

A leafy bed,
Protection from
The cold of
Night
